How do I return an unwanted product or item?

Returning a product - No Problem - All refunds are processed within a week of receipting the goods back into the warehouse (you bank/credit card company may take a few days to process the refund)

When returning unwanted items please ensure they are in a resaleable condition. We cannot offer refunds on fabric sold by the metre or curtains that have been manufacturered or altered to your sizes. Please note that as per our terms and conditions the postage cost is at your expense.

If you are returning a faulty item and your product is not found to have a fault by our team you may be charged £25 for administration and to return the item to you.



How do I pack an item if I am returning it?

Returning faulty products only

When returning a faulty product or item to curtainfabricsonline.com please ensure that the original packing is used where ever possible to avoid damage in transit. However if this is not possible please pack the item in another cardboard box.

Returning unwanted items only

If you are returning an unwanted item (within 21 days) you must use the original packaging to enable a full refund (excluding any delivery charges incurred by curtainfabricsonline.com). The item must be in a resaleable condition ie unopen or so it looks unopened. We cannot offer refunds on fabric sold by the metre or curtains that have been manufacturered or altered to your sizes.

No you do not have to pay for the return of damaged goods.

However if your product is not found to have a fault by our team you may be charged £25 for administration and to return the item to you.

Please click here to notify us within 7 days of receiving your order if it has arrived damaged, incomplete, or is it incorrect.

After 7 days we may not be able to assist you.

Please provide as much information as possible and we will then investigate and offer a solution.





If I buy a product and it then doesn't fit, can I return it?

As long as the product can be returned in its original packaging within 21 days of purchase you can return any ready made products bought from curtainfabricsonline.com. We cannot offer refunds on fabric sold by the metre or curtains that have been manufacturered or altered to your sizes. Please note that as per our terms and conditions the postage cost is at your expense.



I have received the wrong item or completely the wrong order what should I do?

We ship hundreds of items a week and unfortunately due to human or computer error the wrong part/item can be dispatched.

Clearly we need to resolve this immediately and efficiently to your satisfaction, however please make sure that you have checked all the packaging as we sometimes pack multiple items in single boxes and use recycled packaging

Please make a note of the following details and contact us

  • Your order reference number.
  • Your contact details - either mobile or land line ( we will ring you ).
  • Have you received something else, please clarify what.
  • What haven't you received?
  • What parcels/label numbers have you received.

How long does the refund back to my card take?

The refund process is can take up to a week. For faulty goods for example, we don't refund until the returned item has been logged, tested and confirmed to be faulty.

Please allow 7-10 days for credit card refunds to show on your statements.

As standard practice we do not refund to store credit, all refunds are back to the original card or paypal account used for the purchase.





Why have I not received a refund?

If your order has been cancelled by curtainfabricsonline.com because it failed our fraud checking systems we have agreements with the banks to hold the money if we think it's fraud . This is due to the increasing use of credit and identity fraud and has been put in place to protect our customers.

As a general rule all monies are refunded back immediately.

Please contact us for a refund to be issued back to your card if your order has been cancelled and you have not received a refund.

If your order has been cancelled by curtainfabricsonline.com because it failed our security checks, we have agreements with the banks to hold the money because of on-line fraud.

If your order has been cancelled please click here to contact us and provide as much detail as possible, we will need your order number(s) and the amount outstanding to be refunded.

This system is in place to protect our customers and is taken very seriously at curtainfabricsonline.com. We pride our self's on making sure that fraudulent transactions do not pass through our security systems. Unfortunately some genuine customers do get flagged and cancelled, it is important that you make contact with us as soon as possible. Please help us be vigilant against on-line fraud.





Why is there a delayed refund to my credit card?

This is partly because curtainfabricsonline.com, like most companies, has a returns process which is 'less automatic' than the sales order process. For faulty goods for example, we don't process a refund until the returned item has been logged, tested and confirmed to be faulty.
